Afat Jahan (آفت جہان) is a novel written by a famed writer Mohiuddin Nawab. It features a historical story that describes the many events and traditions in the time of the Mughal Ruler Jhangeer. It gives us many facts and knowledge about Mughal Empire.
Novel’s Story/Summary:
The novel’s story revolves around some historical characters such as Mirza Ghayas-Ul-Din. The king ordered him to leave the land of Iran. He was deported alone, But he had a wife and two sons. He could not leave him helpless. His wife was pregnant and could have a baby at any time. He crossed the Iranian border with his family. On the way, he encountered a lot of troubles. His daughter was born in a desert. He had given up hope of surviving.
A caravan, who was going to India helped him. There they were present to Mughal King Jalal-Ul-Din. He was promoted to a good position. No one knew that the baby girl born in a desert would be the queen of the Mughal Empire in the future.
The author explain the story of Noor Jhan, queen of Mughal Empire and the wife of King Jhangeer. The story is interesting that introduce us many new things about Mughal Empire. It is best for historical stories reader.
Mohiuddin Nawab has a prominent name in the Urdu story authors. Mohiuddin Nawab is well-known for his long story, Devta. It is also a credit to him that he wrote hundreds of stories and novels, issued first in the monthly digest and later in book shape. These books took a warm blowout from the Urdu book readers.
He composed Devta, which is considered the long story of any language, and gave a cooperative public uniqueness to Mohiuddin Nawab. The people loved him for his work. Devta published in the monthly local Digest, Karachi Digest, for 33 years and completed when the writer fell ill.
