Sangtarash (سنگ تراش) is a famous Urdu novel written by renowned novelist Aqleem Aleem. It tells an adventurous and thrilling tale of a man whose fate is left in the hands of Desert Pirates. Jasoosi digest published it via monthly episodes in 1973-1974, and it was later published as a conventional paperback. The story is divided into two equal volumes of 320 pages.
The central character of the story is Khadim Hussain, a young boy traveling to holy Islamic sites with his family. Their caravan was attacked by Desert pirates as they passed through the desert. Pirates ruthlessly killed nearly all of them and looted everything they had. After they had everything they could get their hands on, one of the looters pulled Khadim Hussain onto his horse and brought him into their valley.
Jabir, who had never had children but longed for them, asked for Khadim to be given to him as a son. Kadim grew up with Jabir in the valley of pirates as his son. He learned the art of carving stones. He lives among them as one of them, yet deep down he never forgets that these are the very people who murdered his family. Therefore, he has that flame of revenge burning within him which is only intensifying over time.
Would he be able to avenge the massacre of his people, or would he grow up to be one of them? Will he ever find love in his life? As you read this novel, you will get answers to these questions. This novel won’t disappoint you if you love reading action, adventure, and exciting stories.
