Angaray (انگارے) is an action-adventure serial novel written by famed Urdu novelist Iqbal Kazmi. The story first appeared episodically in a local monthly Digest – and later got published as a two-volume paperback book series. It is one of the most notable works of Iqbal Kazmi.
Angaray is the story of a young and brave man who fought against the atrocities of the Hindu army and goons in Indian-occupied Kashmir. It is no secret that Indian troops have made life in Kashmir a living hell for Kashmiris. Some young people became so fed up with injustice that they joined hands and fought against those evil forces.
The story also reflects on the traitors within, who sell their souls and motherland for some worldly privileges. They are the actual enemies of the homeland and must be dealt with firmly.
