Mukhtar Masood is a famous Pakistani writer and bureaucrat. In 1978, considering his brilliant performance in civil services, he was sent to Tehran as Secretary-General of RCD. During his four years of service, he observed the Iranian revolution and politics closely, which influenced this famous book Loh-e-Ayyam. The book is divided into three sections and has seventeen chapters.
The first section of the book tells the circumstances of the pre-revolution. The second section is all about the revolution itself. The third section of the book deals with the aftermath and effects of the revolution on society.
