Musarraton Ka Shehar (مسرتوں کا شہر) is an Urdu novel written by well-known Pakistani novelist Razia Butt. It features a social drama story set in an imaginary city of Hareen.
Hareen was a beautiful city located midway through Shablash’s mountains. People in the town were hardworking, honest, and were living a happy life. Over time, people started leaning toward immoral practices. They started lying, robbing each other, and all sorts of evils became common in society.
Kasht Yaar took advantage of the situation and started ruling the city with the help of his like-minded friends. He was a vicious and wicked person who did not care for anyone but himself. His oppression was so brutal that the people were unable to speak out against him. When the condition became worse, some young men decided to rebel against him. The rest of the story focuses on their efforts to track him down and free the city from his rule.
