Hajjaj Bin Yousaf (حجاج بن یوسف) is a biography and historical Urdu novel written by renowned history author Aslam Rahi M.A. It tells us the story of our Muslim hero, Hajjaj Bin Yousaf who fought for the sake of Islam and defeat his enemies.
The novel story revolves around a historical warrior Hajjaj Bin Yousaf. He was a courageous military leader. He conducted an army invasion against Abdullah Bin Zubair R.A. Hajjaj and took control of Makkah, the holiest city for Muslims. Simultaneously, Hajjaj seized the Kaba, preventing Muslims from performing Tawaf at the Bait Ul Allah. Hundreds of Muslims were slain by the Hajjaj at Haram Sharif. He violently assassinated Abdullah Bin Zubair in front of the Bait Ul Allah.
Hajjaj Bin Yousuf is connected to the Ummavi ruler, Waleed Bin Abdul Malik. As a result, he selected Hajjaj as Iraq’s head of state. He also delegated authority over India and Central Asia to him. Hajjaj supported some of the greatest Muslim commanders of all time, including Qutaiba Bin Muslim, Musa Bin Naseer, Muhammad Bin Qasim, and Tariq Bin Ziyad.
The Muslims acquired great military victories under Hajjaj’s reign. Muhammad Bin Qasim was assigned by Hajjaj to attack Sindh. Muhammad Bin Qasim defeated Raja Dahir and marched successfully to Multan’s surrounds. Qutaiba Bin Muslim conquered Central Asia, and Musa Bin Naseer arrived at France’s borders.
The author tells us the Hajjaj Ibn Yousuf’s successes and life circumstances In Islamic history, he was a ruthless and principled man. He belonged to the Banu Thaqif tribe. As a result, he was given the title Hajjaj Ibn Yousaf Thaqifi.
